Are you looking for an easy way to add in more great food based sources of the all important Omega 3's into your diet?

Here is a simple solution, purchase a refillable pepper grinder or use one that is empty.  These are inexpensive to buy at a discount home goods store.

In a small bowl combine equal parts of chia seeds, whole flax seeds, both great plant based sources of Omega 3's, make sure you purchase organic to avoid pesticides.  Fill pepper grinder, secure top and give a twist to top your salads, grain dishes, soups, casseroles, veggies, breakfast grains and more. 

You can keep this grinder right next to your pepper grinder and sea salt- it's a delicious nutty, nutrient dense additon and so easy to add in.

Hi Cathy,

That's a GREAT idea about putting chia and flax seeds in a pepper grinder! Never thought of that! Usually put them in a coffee mill I reserve for seeds and spices but your idea is so much better as it's more convenient and we do like convenient. Hope you are having a great spring.
