Personalized Health Counseling Programs

Like many of us you have probably tried a variety of diets, and may have even managed to do well for a period of time with these strict guidelines.  The emphasis is often deprivation and denial both of which are unnecessary and counter-productive for long term health.

Cathy's approach emphasizes a practical, individualized program that takes into account where you currently are beginning, your health history and lifestyle.  She will help you create a plan that works for the long term and is joyful.

Your program includes:Fruits, Vegetables, Water

  • Setting goals & taking consistent action
  • Understanding & controlling cravings
  • Incorporating simple lifestyle changes
  • Being healthy on the road and on the go
  • Making better food choices at home and at work
  • Creating lasting balance
  • Learning self-care techniques
  • Gaining knowledge & ease in cooking whole foods

  • Menu planning & budgeting
  • Most importantly, enjoying the process!

 

Individual personalized 6 month program:

  • Two, one hour sessions per month, either in person or over the phone.  Sessions include discussion of your progress, notes, recommendations and action plans
  • A variety of hand outs, recipes, books, tapes, foods and other materials
  • Monthly group cooking classes, a healthy shopping tour and other events
  • Monthly email newsletter
  • Access to an extensive lending library of books, audio recordings and articles relating to health and well being
  • Food samples and self-care products
  • Unlimited email coaching in-between sessions to support you through your process

Cathy individualizes a program for each client, this is not a one size fit's all approach. I have learned new cookiing techniques, how to use new ingredients, herbs and spices and she made cooking, FUN!  I have really seen results in my health, I lost almost 20 pounds, have been able to cut my blood pressure medication in half and my cholesterol levels are significantly lower.  I am excersising and feeling better than I have in a very long time.  You won't fine anyone who is more supportive and wants to see you succeed!- Kathy

 
3 Month Personalized Follow-up Program:

This program is available to all clients who have completed a 6 month program and want to continue to be supported in moving forward.  Create a customized management program that suits your individual needs.  If you would like additional information about this program please use the contact form on the contact page.


6 Month Family/Couple Program:

This family program is a wonderful way for couples or parents and children to make positive life long changes and be supported both in and out of the family environment.

The family/couple program includes all of the program details of the individual 6 month program mentioned above along with individual meetings for adults and children.


Individual Monthly Group Cooking classes:

  • Varied hands-on and demonstration style classes
  • Variety of topics addressing specific health concerns and cooking skills
  • Focus on seasonal, local and organic ingredients
  • Focus on nutritional aspects of food in addressing health issues and dietary concerns


Health Supportive Cooking Guidance: 

 Reccomended for those who need to make dietary changes to address health issues, have been put on a special diet by their doctor and need more support in getting started and learning how to make life long changes.

  • Initial consultation, reviewing concerns, dietary needs, goals
  • Follow-up 60 minute in person consultation
  • Report/review outlining dietary guidelines
  • Weekly menu plans & recipes
  • Specialty shopping resource guide
  • 15 minute follow up phone consultation


 Private Group Cooking Classes

 

  • For groups of 6 or more in your home or office
  • Your choice of class focuses; soups, whole grains, quick one pot meals, main course salads, appetizers, or class designed to meet your needs and dietary requirements.
  • Gluten free classes, Candida diet, low fat, high fiber, diabetic diets, vegan and more.
  • 2-1/2 hour hands on class, includes interactive class, lots of food and recipe and informational package.
  • FREE class for Hostess!


Special Events - Custom Designed Health Education Classes

Let Cathy create a customized health education program for your group. Class topic’s may include:

  • Breaking free of sugar addiction
  • Creating healthy family meals & meal planning

  • Weekly or bi-weekly personal chef services and shopping for individuals and families, in your home.
  • Health supportive and delicious customized meals prepared in your home by a certified natural foods chef.
  • Special service to address a healing diet for those undergoing cancer treatments and chronic health issues.
