Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 2 hours | Yields: 60-75 chips

These yummy little chips are a nice snack or addition to a simple salad-make lots they disappear quickly.

Ingredients

  • 4-5 large apples (granny smith, gala or other crisp varieties)
  • 2 Tbsp. natural sugar (I like Rapadura, unrefined, organic sugar)
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 – 1/2 tsp. ground ginger

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees.
  2. Mix sugar, cinnamon and ginger together in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Sprinkle 2 parchment lined sheet pans with ½ of the sugar mixture.
  4. Wash and dry apples
  5. Core apples and slice either with a mandolin or with a sharp knife into full or ½ rings @ 1/8-1/4” thick.
  6. Place apple rings on top of the sugar sprinkled pans in a single layer.
  7. Sprinkle remaining sugar on top of apple slices.
  8. Bake apple slices for 2-2/12 hours, rotating sheet pans during cooking process to cook evening.
  9. Remove from pans when crisped to your liking!
